Clean Air Advice in the Community

Go Green:

  • Green can mean different things to different people, but there are big and small things each of us can do in our communities to make the air cleaner and make the entire region a better place to live, work and play.
  • If you're new to the region, or planning a move, consider a move to a neighborhood that is closer to work. Choose a home near your place of employment and near those types of activities you most enjoy outside of work.
  • There are plenty of greener products that help the air we breathe: manual or electric lawn equipment, better insulated windows and doors, ENERGY STAR™ appliances and more. And, when shopping, do your research or shop online. You’ll save money and time in traffic.
  • Make your school a greener place by asking school leaders to participate in Safe Routes to School programs.
  • Get your kids involved in the green movement. Check out our lesson plans and activities to teach your kids about air pollution, and empower them to make greener choices.
